Kitchens / Projects

Case study A

Ashton Lewis Kitchens began the project by removing the existing kitchen, flooring and increasing the opening in the wall between the kitchen and dining area to create a more open and usable space.

We converted the existing dining room window at the back of the property to a set of patio doors. First fix electrics and plumbing were then carried out ahead of plastering of walls and ceilings and then initial decorations. The project included not only a kitchen/dining space, but the clients also wanted to utilise the under stairs space, so we designed and manufactured bespoke units to create an office area.

The kitchen design comprised slab ultra-gloss doors, painted to order in two tones (Cashmere and Graphite), Silestone quartz worktops in Eternal Statutario with a bespoke sized 60mm thick oak insert breakfast bar with antique mirrored glass splashbacks. Remote control colour changing LED lighting was also fitted into the kitchen area. The client selected from our Neff appliances range including, Slide n Hide single oven, combination oven and microwave, warming draw, induction hob, extractor, fridge and freezer.

Our client’s builder followed the detailed kitchen plans supplied by us to set out the electrical and plumbing services accordingly.

The client also selected to use our check measure service to ensure the room had been prepared as it needed to be ahead of commencing installation. We then managed the delivery and installation of the kitchen.

This kitchen project involved modern slab doors in true handleless design and the client chose it in Pantry Blue on Denver Oak carcasses, with copper tones introduced through the handleless grip rails. Caesarstone quartz in Misty Carrara was selected for worktops and upstands. We templated and installed glass cladding/splashbacks painted to order in colour chosen by the client. The client selected from our Neff and Bosch appliances range including, Slide n Hide single oven, combination oven and microwave, induction hob, extractor, dishwasher and fridge along with Franke sink and tap.

Case study C

The project was a full renovation of the existing kitchen and dining area.

The project brief was to create a modern and welcoming family kitchen and dining space with increased kitchen working area, improved storage and would become an area the family could enjoy together…including the cat! The kitchen layout the original house builder implemented was very basic and unimaginative, so switching the position of the kitchen to the opposite side of the room was a clear win.

We removed the existing kitchen and flooring along with an under-stair cupboard to open out the room as much as possible. First fix plumbing and electrics were carried out ahead of plastering of walls and ceilings and then on initial decorations before fitting out of the kitchen.

The kitchen comprised of matte Dove Grey and Graphite from our slab range, hardwood European oak worktops and a tiled splashback. Warm LED lighting was fitted to the underside of the kitchen wall cabinets. The client chose Bosch appliances including; single oven, combi oven/microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer,

Case study D

The project was a full renovation of the existing kitchen and dining area.

The project brief was to create a traditional Shaker style kitchen with a contemporary twist in a unique colour palette for this country residence. The project began with stripping the existing kitchen, floor and walls. We clad the exposed brick pillars either side of what was an old chimney breast to give a more modern feel. The kitchen comprised of Shaker doors and panels which were painted to a specific paint colour chosen by the client. To give a more modern look to the shaker door the V-groove doors were used to add subtle detailing.

A Silestone Quartz worktop was fitted and a mirror tiled splashback. The client chose NEFF appliances included; two single ovens stacked, 5 ring burner gas hob, extractor, dishwasher, fridge freezer and wine cooler. A Franke 4-in-1 tap with filtered, boiling, hot and cold was installed.

Ashton Lewis Kitchens fully managed the project co-ordinating the electrics, plumbing, plastering and decorations, including new flooring throughout.

Case study E

The project was for a 10 plot development which was part conversion of a listed building with new build extension to the side.

The project brief was to create a clean and homely feel kitchen for each of the flats in keeping with the nature of the period property.

We surveyed the rooms whilst the spaces were being gutted and created kitchen concepts for each space with the property developer as each space and unique characteristics.

The kitchens comprised modern shaker doors, creating the maximum storage and usage from each of the spaces. Marble effect quartz worktops and splashbacks were also fitted.

The appliances packs included NEFF to be on show and Hotpoint for hidden integrated appliances. We supplied and dry fitted, with the developer taking care of all services and room preparation and finishing
